My music influence comes from all the diverse people and extensive media I've been exposed to throughout my life. I genuinely enjoy all types of music (yes, even sometimes country) because I love exploring all genres of music to discover the different styles that make an artist truly unique. 

 

When I was a kid, I would wake up early to get ready for school. My mom would turn on the TV for my brother and I to watch while we ate breakfast to VH1's Top 20 Countdowns. At night, we would tune into their I Love the... series to discover music across generations where I was able to learn how music has transformed and transcended overtime to have a great impact on our culture and identity. That was my beginning to my love of music!

 

Most importantly, music is how we feel connected and understood. I would describe my music taste as diverse because each artist and style represents a different part of who I am and where I am at in life.
